Printing Guides

The advent of social media, coupled with our ever present smart phone cameras, has led to most of our captured memories being shared via digital means. There however remains something really magical about seeing and holding your work in print. In these pages I aim to cover many of the issues I encountered along my journey to creating prints at home.

The first few pages uploaded, cover the basics of light, ink, how we standardize colour as well as demystifying the differences between ‘pixels’ and ‘dots.’

Over time I will add more pages covering a different piece of the puzzle that is creating great prints at home. Whereas the topics below may seem to be a little advanced for the beginner aiming to print photos straight from their smartphone, a good understanding of the basics will be helpful, and future pages will in fact focus on how we can make the most of these devices.
